There are 90 Active Bones processes in total that are usually delivered in sequence over three Units of study – Bones for Life One, Bones for Life Two, and Bones for Life Three. All 90 processes are studied at two levels, firstly as the Basic Bones for Life Certificate and again as the Advanced Bones for Life Certificate. Learning these processes must be done under the guidance of an experienced (certified) Bones for Life teacher. Some teachers may offer individual lessons as one-to-one sessions or group workshops, where the processes may be taught out of sequence, to suit the specific needs of a student or group. The basic level of study equips graduates with a beginner's understanding of all processes, enough to continue to integrate the work into their personal health or fitness regime. The advanced level of study is undertaken with a Certified Bones for Life Trainor and builds on the student's acquired knowledge gained through their application of the processes. Both levels of study are a pre-requisite for those who wish to enter the Certified Teacher program and eventually conduct Active Bones classes and workshops. A "Certificate of Completion" is awarded at each level. Students who wish to have their participation in Active Bones Lessons recognised as a credit toward Certification need to ensure that their BFL Instructor has registered their progress with BFL Australia.
